Searching for your dream home?? Sometimes we tend to take this for granted and focus on other things that you think you are needs but not looking at the bigger picture which is having your own place or home. This has also come to my mind too but I guess it’s the culture here in Brunei that we all normally stay under one roof and to break that pattern is not an easy feat.

It’s good to see that not only real estate agents are educating the public but also the banks in Brunei and one of them is Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam. Last Saturday, BIBD took a step forward in focusing their product on home plans for their customers as well as targeting new ones. As Mr. Javed Ahmad, Managing Director of BIBD, said in his welcoming remarks that BIBD will be offering potential home buyers different types of financial solutions so everyone deserves a dream home. One of the best financing solutions is using the concept of Musyarakah Mutanaqisah where it includes a payment period of up to 30 years and also a financing amount of up to $1 million. Hmmmm not bad I must say..

The other interesting thing is that this concept will allow co-ownership of the home between the bank and the customer and the latter’s ownership of the property will gradually increase over time through payments. This, in a way, put a lesser financial burden on the customer.

The Run is gearing its pace this Sunday at The Waterfront and there will be bazaar happening as well but spaces are limited if you are interested to have a bazaar during the event. The charity bazaar will be ongoing from 6th July to 8th July this weekend and for more information, you can book through info@therun.com.bn

A total of 4,800 have registered for The Run though I won’t be running as I will be focusing more on coverage. Pusat Ehsan extended their thanks to the partners and sponsors of the event as well as 800 volunteers who are involved in The Run.
