In less than a season, David Moyes was 3 games shy of completing a full season with Manchester United. According to the news, he left the club but only to be headlined with the keyword “sacked”. A very mixed responses from MU fans but the neutrals thought it was a wise decision by the board. Anyway, good luck to you, Moyes and while it’s still a hot topic, here are some of the meme for Moyes. No hard feelings, MU 🙂

The Syariah Penal Code briefing by the panelists yesterday at Rizqun International Hotel
From the 1st of April to the 22nd of April and now a new date has been set for the official launch of Syariah Penal Code which will fall next week Wednesday 30th April 2014. It was announced on the radio that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will launch the Syariah Penal Code at ICC.
Yesterday was the first time I attended the Syariah Penal Code briefing hosted by the Malaysia High Commission to Brunei Darussalam at the Rizqun International Hotel. I have to say that it’s not as bad as many people perceived it. Of course, the bigger focus from the audience was the dress code, judging from the questions being raised but the panelists must have gone through this Q&A over and over again with similar answers and I would understand the level of tolerance they would have to put go through in answering them.
The bigger picture as the panelists were sharing is the “indecent behaviour”. It’s just so happened that indecent clothing can be interpreted as an act of indecent behaviour. This is yet again a subjective matter as different people have different perception on what is deemed appropriate and decent when it comes to clothing as the panelist shared. They advised the audience not to be concerned too much on clothing but more of the indecent behaviour such as kissing in public or getting too cozy in public to name a few.
Watching a movie with the opposite sex is not considered “khalwat” or close proximity when being asked of the question because it’s a public venue. One raised a concern about attires during sports. As we know, many of us wear shorts and leggings when it comes to sport activities. The panelists said that a committee has been set up to look into this matter on clothing during sport activities and they will advise the public once they have the guidelines.
It was shared also that tudong is not compulsory for Muslim women but they encouraged them to wear as an obligation of a Muslim women.
My friends attended the session yesterday and shared that the Syariah law is not as bad as they thought they were and these are non-Muslim friends. They see it as a protective measure for the community. I actually have gained more insight during the briefing but it’s not easy to grasp the briefing as it was cramped into an hour and they only highlighted some areas due to time constraint. Do get a copy of the Syariah Penal Code and also do attend a briefing if you have the opportunity. So peeps, let’s not be quick to judge what Syariah Penal Code provides. Do understand it fully first before commenting on it. Yes, we have been polluted with words from others who only based on their findings without fully understanding the concept. I do agree with one of the Ministers that let’s make a positive spin when it comes to the Syariah law and not focusing on the negative aspects.

Audi A3 is named 2014 World Car of the Year
• Third generation of Audi’s premium compact car is a world beater
• Second overall victory for Audi at World Car of the Year Awards
The Audi A3, the premium compact bestseller from the brand with the four rings, is the 2014 World Car of the Year. This is the second overall title for Audi in the ten year history of the World Car of the Year Awards as the Audi A6 won the inaugural overall title in 2005.
The third generation of the Audi A3 is now officially confirmed as a world beater. It overcame the challenge from 23 other cars to win the prestigious World Car of the Year title in 2014. The A3 was voted as the winner by an international jury panel comprising 69 top‑level automotive journalists from 22 countries around the world.
Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, said: “The Audi A6 was the first ever winner of this award and we are delighted that the Audi A3 has repeated that achievement by being voted 2014 World Car of the Year. The Audi A3 showcases Audi’s technical competence in all aspects of carmaking, not least in the areas of lightweight technology, drivetrain, mobile infotainment and driver assistance systems. This major award win is an achievement that the whole company can celebrate”.
The new Audi A3 is available as a 3 door, Sportback, Cabriolet and Sedan. It is powered by a range of TFSI gasoline and TDI diesel engines. The A3 Sportback can also be ordered as a g‑tron, which can be operated using e‑gas generated by Audi, natural gas, or gasoline – when powered by e‑gas, the A3 Sportback g‑tron travels CO2-neutral.
Audi A3 being named 2014 World Car of the Year
Later this year, the A3 Sportback will also be available as an e‑tron, whose plug‑in hybrid drive enables journeys of up to 50 kilometres in all‑electric mode. Audi is offering customers in Germany green electricity – Audi energy. The cooperating partner is the Hamburg energy provider LichtBlick SE. The power all comes from renewable energy sources and is generated exclusively at hydro-electric power stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With Audi energy, the A3 e‑tron is totally emission-free when operated electrically.
Audi can look back on a 16‑year success story with the A3. In 1996, the first generation of the model series established an entirely new market segment – the premium compact class. With the second generation, which followed in 2003, the brand extended its lead with the addition of a Cabriolet to the familiar 3 door and Sportback body styles. The third A3 generation is available in four body styles following the further addition of the Sedan.
With this win for the Audi A3, Audi has maintained its position as the manufacturer with the most World Car of the Year titles. The brand with the four rings has previously won three World Performance Car titles, two World Car Design of the Year titles and the inaugural World Car of the Year title. In total Audi has won seven titles at the World Car of the Year Awards:
2005 Audi A6 World Car of the Year
2007 Audi RS 4 World Performance Car, Audi TT World Car Design of the Year
2008 Audi R8 World Performance Car, Audi R8 World Car Design of the Year
2010 Audi R8 V10 World Performance Car

TigerLim posing with Vincent Pao and Zul Abdul Rahman of Concepts Computer, showcasing their new products – SteelSeries, now available at their store
I’m not much of a gamer myself. I heard of other peripheral brands for gaming and only recently I heard of SteelSeries and apparently, a lot of gamers in Brunei know of this brand. It seems that they know what’s good for gaming accessories ranging from mouses to keyboard and headphones. It’s also good to know that Concepts Computer have partnered with SteelSeries in providing their peripherals to promote the gaming industry in Brunei Darussalam.
SteelSeries launched an iconic series of SteelSeries Frost Blue and Heat Orange limited edition gaming gears, comprising SteelSeries Sensei RAW gaming mouse, SteelSeries Siberia v2 gaming headset and SteelSeries QCK gaming mousepad.
Perhaps the most significant product of SteelSeries is the SteelSeries Sensei RAW mouse. I don’t know what this means but it said to provide a high performance as high as 5,670 counts per inch in terms of scalable pointer speed and fine-tuning on-the-fly of the speed will be easy as togging high and low. It’s ideal for fast pace gaming such as Counter Strike to name one. The mouse is priced at BND 128.
You also should try out the Siberia v2 gaming headset and it comes in different colours too. It has super bright LED and delivers superior sound to differentiate them from other competitors.
Do check out the posters below for more details.
Vincent Pao, General Manager of Concepts Computer, said, “Our partnership with SteelSeries is the next step in Concepts Computer’s diversification and expansion into different sectors of the Bruneian IT market. We believe for Gamers, “Winning is Everything”, and that is what we’re trying to deliver with SteelSeries gaming peripherals.”
For more information or to experience the SteelSeries Gaming Experience, visit the nearest Concepts Computer showroom, or call 2233551 or 2233552.

During the interview, Chris gave some encouragement to the students, “We will make history if you can guys can do it as this is the first film festival in Brunei Darussalam. Of course, the students didn’t know what they got themselves into and now I just so proud of them. Everything they did themselves. I did push along and made a path for them but everything else was from them – finding sponsors, learn how to do lights, try to do 3D design and sketches for the event and they did it on their own.”
He said that this was part of an assessment for their module and it will account to 10% of the event itself. The rest of the marks will be based on peer and team assessment and there are no exams for this module.
Chris hopes that this event can be spur off to new things and even being endorsed by Universiti Brunei Darussalam as an annual event due to its success and also a good avenue to expose our local creative industries.

The dugong carcass at Tungku Beach. Image taken by Rafidah Hamit of The Brunei Times
The carcass of an unidentified sea animal believed to be that of a dugong is still at Tungku Beach, six days after it was reported to the Wildlife Division.
When The Brunei Times visited the site yesterday, there was already a foul smell emitting from the remains of the carcass. On closer inspection, it was found that most of the flesh was destroyed. More maggots and flies were seen to be devouring the carcass. Curious onlookers also stopped to look at it.
Hj Faisal Hj Nordin, an officer from the Wildlife Division told The Brunei Times that they had sent a team down to the beach to investigate the remains but could not ascertain the cause of death.
They were also unable to determine whether it was a dugong or a seal. “This is because we do not have a mammal expert. After the investigation, we just left the carcass there to naturally decompose,” Hj Faisal said. He declined to provide further details on the matter. Leaving carcasses that have been washed up ashore to decompose naturally is not uncommon.
In December 2012, a young whale measuring 40 feet long was found on a beach in Malibu — the carcass had disintegrated to such an extent that it was no longer feasible to tow it out to sea. According to an article by The Guardian, authorities had said that the condition of the whale’s carcass made it physically difficult to be moved. “It’s so embedded in sand that they won’t be able to get it out. The body will be pulled apart,” the authorities were reported as saying. The carcass of the sea animal at Tungku Beach measured at about six feet in length. The wildlife authority in Brunei urges the public to report any findings related to wildlife animals to them by calling 2774258, or emailing info-wildlife@industry.gov.bn or by contacting them through the Facebook. Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank (center) with Mr. Ti Eng Hui, Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank and Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Mustapa, Head of Treasury of Baiduri Bank during the press conference yesterday
This reminds me of math days in high school years. I’m never a fond of math subject but if I dedicate myself to it, I will do just fine, nothing more. Recently, Baiduri Bank has reached another milestone in the banking industry. In a banking environment especially Brunei which has been undergoing through many regulatory measures, banks in Brunei have to step up their game and be more “creative” in meeting customers’ demand and also falling in line with the rules and regulations which have been stricter.
So it’s great to see that Baiduri Bank has been given an impressive rating of “BBB+/A- 2” by an international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s. It was published in Bloomberg that Baiduri Bank has a “strong” business position, “adequate” capital and earnings, “moderate” risk position, “average” funding and “strong” liquidity.
In most cases, such rating will remain unchanged for the next 12-18 months and it’s very unlikely it will suffer a drop and Baiduri Bank ensures that they will sustain that rating and even better the current rating. Of course, this is a long term goal of Baiduri Bank and being it only 20 years old, this is considered a great achievement and also given the tough regulatory measures that the Brunei banking industry have to go through.
Such rating positions Baiduri Bank just below well known banks such as DBS, OCBC and UOB in Singapore which shows the great credibility of Baiduri Bank.
Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank, hosted a press conference with the presence of Mr. Ti Eng Hui, Deputy CEO of Baiduri Bank and Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Mustapa, Head of Treasury of Baiduri Bank. Imhof shared that the policy on lending will remain the same as it has been one of Baiduri Bank’s important and successful product due to its dynamic nature. With more healthy liquidity of Baiduri Bank, there are in a good position to lend more and maintain their lending policy.
Imhof also shared that the bank will be looking for opportunities regionally in the near future. He is proud that Baiduri Bank has been given the BBB+ ranking and this will indeed give more confidence internally and also to their loyal customers. Congratulations, Baiduri Bank, on your milestone.

The students have work tremendously well for their assignment. Kudos to them and I salute you guys!!
The time is almost near. The Film Festival UBD 2014 is just around the corner and I can’t wait to see some of the short films done by UBD students and this is part of their assessment too. This is similar to the UBD Spectacle 2014 project (oops, I really have to pay them a visit too). There will be 8 short films in different forms of genre involving 20 students majoring in the field of Professional Communications and The Media.
So you will witness some of the innovative content the students muster in a short span of time. I was already impressed with the short films done last year by the students and I, myself, am a big fan of movies and I always love to talk about direction and film editing when it comes to movies. Of course, this is why The Popcorn Panel came about where you can catch my audio podcast on movies that I watch every now and then.
If want to read more of the in-depth objectives of the Film Festival UBD 2014, you can click here.
By the way, the tickets you can get them half an hour before the show and it’s FREE. It will take place at The Core at UBD. There are quite number of slots you can choose from to catch the 8 short films. You can see the synopsis from their Facebook page too. There will be 5 UBD made production and 3 local house production in all.
On Saturday 19th April, the timings will be 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm while on Sunday 20th April, it will start on 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm. So if you have the time, do make the time. One of the short films that I enjoyed last year was “Roast Lamb” and it will be one of the short films to be featured. You can follow them also on instagram @filmfestivalubd2014

Can DPMM FC continue their scoring spree momentum tonight?
DPMM FC will be gunning for their third win in a row as they will be hosted by Hougang United FC who can prove to be a tricky customer for DPMM FC. Brunei’s only professional club scored 11 goals in the last two games against two bottom teams – Courts Young Lions and Harimau Muda and they are on a scoring spree but the most important key for Steve Kean is getting another clean sheet for DPMM FC.
“We have an appetite to go and have a few more goals and the best part about our last game is the clean sheet as well. So we are very hopeful that we can get a clean sheet and get all three points,” said Kean during the interview at the Brunei International Airport before taking off to Singapore.
Kean did admit that Hougang United has cause some surprises in the S•League this season. “I have watched some of their games on DVD and they are good at putting the ball in the box and it will be a tough game.”
However, DPMM FC will be without two key players – Rosmin Kamis (Bobby) and Sairol Sahari who scored in the last game. According to Kean, Bobby should be back for the following game next week as he was being rested, recovering from two calves strains. Sairol will be rested for some tight strain on his hip.
Kean is ready to hand Azwan Salleh and Hendra, their first start of the season, replacing the positions of Sairol and Bobby respectively. The head coach is confident of Bobby’s replacement, Hendra, and he has shown some maturity while coming off the bench in the past few matches. This will be a big game for Hendra indeed.
Rodrigo Tosi will prove to be a huge threat as he has already bagged seven goals this season. He shared how the squad this season was very much different from his previous stints and one point that he highlighted was the mentality of his team mates that has made the difference. The Brazilian is also wary of Hougang’s improvements this season and he will do his best to bring in three points for DPMM FC and of course, add to his goal tally.
Hougang United FC will host DPMM FC tonight at Hougang Stadium, Singapore. You can catch some live updates on their Twitter and instagram handle @officialdpmmfc

The Minister of Education and The Minister of Development with the Board of Directors of ISB, management of ISB and students of ISB at the groundbreaking ceremony of ISB new campus at Kg Sg Hanching
The Minister of Education and The Minister of Development with the architect, consultants and contractors of the new ISB campus
The comments have been flourish on my social media after my posting of the recent graphics of the newly proposed green building of ISB campus at Sg Hanching. By August 2015, ISB will relocated their school to the new proposed area. The exact location is along Jalan Utama Salambigar, Kg Sg Hanching and it is pretty big, a 22-acre site.
I remember a few years ago of the rumours that ISB can be relocated as the current land belongs to the another ministry if I’m not mistaken. Now it’s a reality after a groundbreaking ceremony a few days ago officiated by two of our ministers – Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong and the Minister of Development, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, who poured concrete cement into the foundation of the new ISB campus.
You may seen ISB’s branding as being eco-friendly and always giving back to the community and I was pleased that ISB’s new campus uses the green concept to reduce the usage of energy and water while creating a more conducive and healthier environment for the teachers, students and parents.
The whole project itself costs in the region of BND 30 million and it’s being financed by Baiduri Bank (Oh yeah, if you wanna apply for home loans, Baiduri Bank can help finance you too). The architect of the project is handled by Arkitek Rekajaya; Civil & Structural Consultants is Adwan & Associates Chartered Engineers; Mechanical & Electrical Consultant is Sepakat Setia Perunding; Earthwork Consultant also is done by Sepakat Setia Perunding; Quantity Surveyor is MRBC Partnership; Main Building Contractor is Walltique Sdn Bhd and Mechanical & Electrical Contractor is DHJ Electrical Sdn Bhd.
Both ministers were pretty impressed with the current project and they hope that more schools will adapt the concept of a greener environment even on a smaller scope.
I will see if I’m able to get more snippets during the progress of the construction over a period of time.

For many senior citizens, getting to grips with smartphone technology can sometimes be problematic as the small on-screen text is often difficult to read and the multitude of features and functions can lead to mistakes.

The management of Skechers Brunei with the local media
Mr. Lim was happy to unveil the second outlet of Skechers at Plaza Seria in Seria which was opened to business since yesterday. The third branch will be somewhere in Kuala Belait.
The new store in Seria aims to target the niche market for the occupational industry shoes, owing to the large population of oil and gas workers living in Belait. This is a strategic area since many customers are from KB and Seria.
Since its opening in the final quarter of 2013, Skechers Brunei have been doing exceptional well because it’s a well known brand and also people have been commenting on its comfort.
Skechers ranges from casual to sports type so do check their GOwalk, GOrun and GObionic range. It’s good to see Skechers spreading its foothold in Brunei and the response has been favourable.

The news that caught people’s attention
Flying four times a week. Not bad, not bad 😀
Wow, after a long, long hiatus, this is very good news for Brunei travelers. Royal Brunei Airlines, Brunei’s national air carrier, will resume its direct flights to Bali, Indonesia, by 26th July 2014. This is indeed a very positive move and the comments on social media have been favourable. Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has been going through major changes ever since its rebranding programme and I remember the Dermot Mannion, Deputy Chairman of RB, hinted of more routes as part of their strategic expansion as well as meeting demands of customers.
So how many times they will fly? I believe it stated that it will fly four times a week. The flights will operate by an Airbus A319.
The flights from BSB to Bali, BI757 departs at 8.55 pm and will arrive at 11.20 pm on Tuesday,Wednesday,Saturday and Sunday. Flights from Bali to BSB, BI758 departs at 7.10 am and arrives 9.40 am on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. For now, you can’t book on flybruneiair.com but you can inquire on your preferred travel agents. I’m pretty sure RB will have special promotions for this new route.
Royal Brunei Airlines was established in 1974 and is wholly owned by the government of Brunei. RB started with an initial fleet of two aircraft, serving Singapore, Hong Kong, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Royal Brunei Airlines now operates a fleet of 10 aircraft to 14 destinations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia. RB is the Boeing 787 Dreamliner’s launch airline in Southeast Asia and with the recent deliveries of Dreamliners, Royal Brunei will have the distinction of operating the youngest long haul fleet in the world.
Royal Brunei Airlines won ‘Best Foreign Airline’ award in the category “Award For Best Airlines” at the Sabah Tourism Awards 2011. Last year, Brunei’s flag carrier won the Metro Time Shanghai Award for their Reader’s Airline of Choice and The Best Airline Provider from The European Asia.
Thank you RB for making this possible and it’s perhaps the best highlight moment after yesterday’s derailing topic that went viral (not RB related but I think you guys know what I mean). Below are just some of the images from my previous Bali trip back in 2012 and 2013. I will be heading again to Bali scheduled for November 2014. Who knows I might make another early trip before then.
My last trip last year August 2013 with my #superfriends buddies
This was at Potato Head. Highly recommended place to chill.
This was taken at the temple area. This was back in November 2012.
One of the activities I enjoyed was water rafting. Pure fun but it was quite a fair ride.
I managed to borrow this sign
I didn’t give a good impression since I thought it was easy to ride a scooter. I was struggling indeed and it’s super darn cheap to rent a bike there too. It was like $5 for 3 days but I only needed half an hour just to get a feel of it. Scary but scary fun 😀
My buddies whom I flew with back in 2012. We stayed at Maya Ubud and I truly love the place there. Quite remote and loads of green.
The villa rooms are quite common in Bali and the prices are quite reasonable as well.

The highlights of last night’s game between Hougang United FC and DPMM FC
Steve Kean wasn’t happy with the performance despite the three points. He felt DPMM FC didn’t play well in the first half and judging from the video I watched, DPMM FC could have been down by at least two goals if it wasn’t for the poor finishing of Hougang United FC. The home side were putting crosses and causing DPMM FC problems in the first half and Kean admitted that they were quite fortunate to go into the break with a clean sheet.
He did give a good point that championship team sometimes don’t play to their maximum but they still get the three points and last night’s game was a great example.
DPMM FC had a better second half and they could have scored a few more too. It was good to see new faces from the bench getting time on the pitch especially Najib Tarif and Helmi Zambin. Perhaps the highlight of the game was Azwan Ali’s rare header that brought all the three points courtesy of a wonderful cross by substitute Najib in the 77th minute.
The match was already delayed at Hougang United FC due to heavy rain prior to the match and it would be a nightmare for defenders especially goalkeepers due to the wet conditions. A big shout out again to DPMM FC defence and Wardun in goal for salvaging the important clean sheet.
DPMM FC’s top scorer Rodrigo Tosi was unfortunate not to score late in the first half with a cheeky lob but his effort just missed wide of the open goal. Roy O’Donovan’s effort were being saved by Nazri Sabri in goal.
The home side Hougang United FC have themselves to blame for not taking their chances. DPMM FC now have leapfrogged Tampines Rovers FC by a point though the defending champions have one game in hand.
DPMM FC were missing two key players – Captain Rosmin Kamis who is being rested for calf injury while Sairol Sahari had to rest after a hip strain and both should be back in next week’s home game. It is not a good run for Hougang United FC who just came off a loss against Geylang International FC after conceding three late goals. Hougang United FC have proved to be a threat in the league with their new signings and I won’t be surprised if Hougang United end up in the top three this season.
Great job to the lads as well as the head coach and the team management in rebuilding DPMM FC from last season. It’s always a great feeling to be on top. Keep it up!! Some of the images below are courtesy of Alson Ong.

I shall be posting more stories about the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the $30 million green campus at Sg Hanching. The event was attended by two ministers – Education and Development. I can’t wait for this campus to be completed. It’s most likely to be completed by August 2015. Thank you, ISB, for the invitation and more news on this groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow. Below are some of the pictures taken from yesterday’s event.

Chris Woo, a lecturer in UBD, posing with the trophy he won for the International Speech Contest in the D87 Division K, while his toastmasters buddies join in celebration at Lahad Datu, Sabah. Image taken from Facebook.
I saw Chris Woo presented his International Speech a few weeks ago in the Toastmasters competition among the four local clubs (toastmasters related) in Brunei Darussalam and he was superb in his delivery. From there, I know I see a winner and he can do Brunei proud with his public speaking talent. Brunei alone has many impressive speakers with the likes of Shawn Narcis, Rozana Yunos, Zainal Bostaman, Clovis Lai and Stuart Lee to name a few. I was also impressed with Fen Ng whom we kinda introduced her to join the Brunei Speakers Club and whoa, she really excelled to greater heights and I have seen so much growth especially in her confidence. I used to be a member of the Brunei Speakers’ Club but now inactive but still a strong supporter for it. I even broke my promise that I would at least complete my first speech as a member but didn’t commit to it *guilty*
Anyway, the highlight of this post is the great achievement by Chris Woo who won the International Speech category in the D87 Division K contest at Lahad Datu, Sabah. He represented Brunei in that category after winning the previous contest among the local toastmasters club in Brunei. This is his biggest achievement to date and now he will represent the Division K at the District 87 International Speech Contest on 11th May 2014 at Surabaya, Indonesia. Well done mate and I wish you to excel further and gain more experience internationally. You definitely have inspire many youths and others including myself to take that leap of faith in believing ourselves.

Stevie G was pretty emotional after the match and truly deserve to lift the trophy if you ask me
I caught this match last night with Terence Han at Coffee Zone and while my buddy remained calmed, my heart was racing inside as it was anybody’s game judging from the performance from both sides. Despite Liverpool having a 2-0 goal cushion with Man City’s Toure taken off due to injury, the visitors pulled the game back to in level terms and dominated the second half. It was also the first time Terence heard me swearing *lol* as I was cursing on the Liverpool players for being sloppy especially Sakho who looked shaky in defence and giving away possession cheaply.
Vincent Kompany had a torrid time as all the Liverpool goals was his to blame. He was wrong footed by Sterling as the Liverpool ace cheekily scored from the little gap. The second goal was off a corner and Kompany lost his marked man Skrtel who headed home. Liverpool’s third goal was gifted by Kompany who fluffed a simple clearance and Coutinho came out from no where to blast home Liverpool’s winning goal.
There you go. A summary of one of the best matches if not the best of the season. Man City still have six games to play compared to Liverpool’s four. Thank you, Brendan Rodgers in believing in the squad and it’s good to see a few English players too (Johnson, Flanagan, Henderson, Gerrard, Sturridge and Sterling) and not rely too much on foreign talent.
This season will go down to the wire and the title race is still wide open. For now, it’s Liverpool’s title to lose. Let’s make us dream.
The Liverpool fans were at the edge of their seats from start to the end
Terence was my bromance partner for the night. Though he’s a Gunners fan, he wanted Liverpool to lift the trophy.

Company employees and their families can have a fun and rewarding (in many senses of the word) time participating in the hiking activities to be held at the Tasek Lama Recreational Park starting at 6 am on Sunday 27 April as part of this year’s Sukan Ria Antara Syarikat.
Company employees interested to take up the 4.2 km hiking challenge event can sign up to be in the running to win attractive cash prizes for the first three men and three women to cross the finish line.
Happening at the same time will be the aptly-named Fun Hike which will stretch 3 km for men and 2 km for women, and is open to both company employees and their family members.
A lucky draw will be held after the hikes giving all participants the chance to go home with fabulous prizes.
The winning team will receive a B$2,000 cash prize, a challenge trophy, medals and trophy. A cash prize of B$1,000 will go to the runner-up team, and third place is rewarded with B$500, with medals and trophies going to both teams.
Teams can import up to three players from another company, allowing teams that would otherwise have insufficient numbers of players to participate in the fun. Being able to bring in talent from another company will also strengthen some teams, which should make for some exciting showdowns.
Registration forms along with the rules and official guidelines can be obtained at D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd in Beribi during office hours or at the official Sukan Ria website at www.sukanriabrunei.com. Completed forms must be received by 5pm on 15 April.

Good to know that the government agencies are doing facelift at recreational places. Recently we had the Serasa Beach facelift which has been getting positive comments from the public. So next is the Silver Jubilee Park and Tasek Lama Recreational Park. I haven’t really explore the Silver Jubilee Park but more on Tasek Lama for my morning walks which I have been neglecting too *lol*
According to the article from The Brunei Times, a jetty, a gazebo and surveillance cameras will be budgeted for the Silver Jubilee Park. The Minister of Home Affairs paid a visit to both these locations yesterday and he believes in restoring the recreational parks even if they are minor ones. The purpose of this upgrade is to make the recreational environment more conducive for the comfort and peace of visitors.
At Tasek Lama Recreational Park, resting house improvements were made, specifically the resting house near the waterfall. An ongoing improvement that was being made in the park was the reinforcement of a jungle track. The jungle track was built with concrete underneath, ensuring pathways would not deteriorate quickly. The ISB Art Exhibition last weekend at Kaleidoscope Art Gallery
I love art and enjoy watching installation and art pieces. Maybe today I will head over to see pieces and art installation of at the UBD Spectacle 2014 at the Art Gallery, Chancellor Hall. Today I will briefly shared about ISB’s art exhibition at the Kaleidoscope Art Gallery in Kiulap last weekend. I missed this event actually as it slipped my mind but great job to the students for Year 13 who are graduating from the International Baccalaureate (IB) course.
According to the article in The Brunei Times, The artworks ranged from digital photography, paintings on canvas and sculpture. One of the unique works was by Aneesah Zulfina. Titled ‘Bateman’s Gridlock’, the piece, which took her four hours to complete, was made from 200 rubic cubes that were sponsored by WW Mart.
Art teacher Christopher Hoddinott said that the exhibition was a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their efforts.
ISB student, Nur Fatin Farhana Md Jafaar, told TheBrunei Times that she felt very proud to be able to have her artworks showcased as “an exhibition is a pinnacle for every aspiring artists, new and existing.”
Too bad the art exhibition only lasted a few days. Well done, anyway, to the Year 13 students and good luck in your assessment 🙂 Below are some pictures taken from ISB and Kaleidoscope Facebook.
