Zul Abdul Rahman, Marketing Executive of Concepts Computer, talked about the new Acer monitors
Are you into gaming? or perhaps wanting a second screen for your work (like I do)? Do check out the the full HD LED monitors from Acer at Concepts Computer.
There are two options you can choose – 21.5 inch G227HQL and the 23 inch G237HL and you can choose the glossy or the mate screen too for your preference.
These monitors are the G7 Series and it’s good to know that all of them come in full HD which makes the visual display more surreal especially for gamers.
the monitors are eco-friendly and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant as well as mercury free. The advance EcoDisplay technologies and white LED backlighting, on the other hand, help to lower the electricity bills by saving power.
“Concepts Computer has always tried hard to be at the forefront of the IT industry in the country and with the help of Acer, we will like to bring the latest monitor technologies to IT consumers at a very affordable price without sacrificing quality,” said Zul Abdul Rahman, Marketing Executive of Concepts Computer.
The prices are of the monitors are BND 218 for the G2277HQL (21.5 inch) and BND 248 for the G2237HL (23 inch).
Just drop by Concepts Computer showroom or call 2233551 or 2233552.

Now the new Touareg R-Line does look rugged. Check it out at Maju Motor Showroom at Jalan Telanai
Now the R-Line is almost complete and last week, Maju Motors Sdn Bhd had a mini launch of the Touareg R-Line after the existence of other R-Line series from the Tiguan and the CC models in Brunei.
I saw the presentation made by Pg Syed Addy Ammirul Ammar Pg Adnan, Marketing Executive of Maju Motors Sdn Bhd, and wow, the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line packs a punch and the best thing about this model is its presence and look, making it such a catchy view with a sporty feel.
If you want more power with the inclusion of off-road capabilities, you won’t be disappointed by the new Touareg R-Line. Of course, the price factor may a factor after I learned about the price tag. The idea here is to test drive and do watch the youtube videos on the capabilities of the Touareg R-Line and you will know that you made the right choice in buying the latest Touareg.
The wheels are solid and sports a 20-inch Mallory alloy wheels and what makes the SUV look sporty are the bumpers designed by Volkswagen R GmbH.
Now let’s talk about power. So do mind the car lingo here. The Touareg R-Line runs on 3.0 V6 TDI Clean Diesel unit. This engine has 245 bhp (3,800 rpm – 4,400 rpm) and 550 Nm (1,750 rpm – 2,750 rpm), consuming only 7.2 L/100km in the combined cycle. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in only 7.6 seconds which is pretty good for a huge car and yes, ideally good for over taking on the highways *under speed limit :D*
Now you will be wondering how much the new Volkswagen Touareg R-Line costs. Well, the launch price is around BND 102,000. Judging from the youtube reviews, you will definitely getting more than what you are paying for. To know more, you can visit their showroom for a test drive too at the Telanai showroom.

Speakers: Reuben Chin, Pat Lee, Shinny Chia, Fitri Ali, Huifong Ng, Florina Tan, Delwin Keasberry and little Aman Izad-Ryan
The title says it all. This is a world wide event where it is known as PechaKucha and all the presenters have to do is a simple presentation with 20 images, each for 20 seconds while they talk about each of the images. They won’t have control of the flow of the images and you will just have to talk along to the images. All in all, the presentation is supposed to last exactly 6 minutes 40 seconds.
Brunei made history last Saturday when they organised their first PechaKucha which was held at TruSynergy office at Telanai. The responses were quite overwhelming and I’m impressed with the organisers for making this event possible. I’m a regular member of toastmasters and this is kinda similar but with imagery and of course, using your presentation skills with nice pacing.
There were 8 speakers last weekend to showcase their presentations and I was quite entertained because of the variety of knowledge that I learnt from their presentation. I learnt about how we shouldn’t trust the doctors just easily or learnt being inspired to be a traveller and the list could just go on.
I’m looking forward for the next PechaKucha and I’m eyeing myself to present one by 2015. The best presenter for me that night was Huifong Ng because of her great pacing and she hardly looked at the slides which made her presentation more effective. The most charming presenter went to the youngest presenter Aman Izad-Ryan who shared her hobbies on Minecraft and online games.
This is another creative avenue for the public to showcase their experiences and of course, bring back that message that will have an impact in our lives. Thank for making this possible 😀
Such a great crowd last Saturday
I was so intrigued by Huifong Ng’s presentation. The best speaker of the night.
I learnt so much from Florina’s experience and makes me mindful and aware next time
The most charming speaker of the night – 7 year old Aman Izad-Ryan
Isn’t she such a charmer?
Fitri Ali makes me want to just take that extra step to be more adventurous
Pat Lee shared her personal journey in helping the community and I was really touched with her commitment
Delwin Keasberry @bruneitweet shared the dangers of social media
Shinny Chia’s vision of bringing more creativity to Brunei and you have my support 😀
Amazing perspective of Reuben Chin’s account with his photography
Huwaida Ishaaq brought PechaKucha to Brunei and I am thankful towards her and the volunteers that made it all possible. The team behind deserves much appreciation as well.
