#BEHELIX First Consolation Prize Draw

#BELIHELIX (Buy Helix) promotion has garnered loads of interest. Not just because the Shell Helix Ultra products are of high quality. Because there are monthly draws and the grand prize will be BMW 118i, Dubai package tours for two and BND 2,500 cash card.

Tomorrow (27th December) will be the first monthly draw and Brunei Shell Marketing the organizer of the promotion mentioned that they have more than 5,000 entries for the month of November alone. The draw was done last week by media representatives and witnessed by Brunei Shell Marketing management.

Those who purchased Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40, HX-7 10W-40 and HX5 15W-40 will be eligible for the draw. They will have to purchase a pack of four liters of Shell Helix Motor Oil and fill in the lucky draw entry form.

There are 190 participating outlets (car dealers, independent workshops, high streets and petrol stations) across the Sultanate. The current promotion ends on January 2018 and the next consolation draw will be held in January 2018 while the grand draw will be February 2018.

After the success of the illuminated Mercedes star in the grill, the Mercedes-Benz original-parts program now offers an additional customization option based on modern LED technology: LED Projector AMG Emblem. When opening the driver’s and passenger doors, the AMG emblem is projected into the entry area in 3D with the help of the entrance lighting mechanism at the bottom of the door. The LED Projector AMG Emblem is now available at Mercedes-Benz sales partners for numerous vehicle models from A-Class to GLS.

The AMG emblem shows the cornerstones of the high performance brand, 
Mercedes-AMG: an apple tree on the river symbolizes the location in Affalterbach, Germany. The cam, valve and valve spring symbolizes the engine manufacturing. With the new AMG emblem projector, the emblem can now be projected into the entrance area next to the vehicle in a high-tech 3D look. Thus, making the ingress into a Mercedes-AMG an impressive experience.

Mercedes-Benz partners can assemble the AMG emblem LED projector in just a matter of minutes: just simply replace the factory-installed entrance lighting at the bottom of the front doors. Audi Q5 – quattro with ultra technology

The all-new Audi Q5 comes equipped with quattro ultra technology. The quattro with ultra technology combines driving dynamics with efficiency and helps to cut consumption by up to 0.3 l/100 km. By switching between four-wheel drive and the more efficient front-wheel drive, four-wheel drive is used whenever the driving situation calls for it. The predictive operating strategy activates within a matter of milliseconds.

Actively controlled torque distribution constantly monitors the drive forces and distributes them between front and rear axle to suit current conditions i.e. whatever the driving situation calls for. Torque vectoring assists when cornering by enhancing traction and dynamics. Targeted braking of the inner wheels increases drive torque at the outer wheels.

With this new technology, Audi has developed an all-wheel drive system optimised for efficiency, which feels just like permanent systems in terms of traction and driving dynamics. With the new ultra technology, it is designed to set the standard in its class for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions – particularly under everyday conditions.

The first generation Q5 celebrated its debut in April 2008 at the Auto China show in Beijing, and it was introduced on the market just a few months later. The SUV with the four rings appealed with its sporty-versatile character and state-of-the-art technology. The three turbocharged engines that were offered had power outputs from 125 kW (170 hp) and 176 kW (240 hp), and a newly developed seven-speed S tronic could transfer engine forces to an optional quattro drivetrain.

In subsequent years, Audi progressively extended its engine line-up – with power-enhanced evolutionary stages, new four-cylinder engines and powerful V6 gasoline engines. In the model changeover of 2012, which included many new solutions in infotainment and assistance systems, two entirely new variants were added to the line-up: the Q5 hybrid quattro, which could drive all-electrically for short distances, and the SQ5 TDI, the first S model from Audi to have a diesel engine. Its sonorous biturbo V6 had a power output of 230 kW (313 hp), and in the final evolutionary stage in 2015 it even output 250 kW (340 hp) and 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft) of torque.

The Audi SQ5 TDI became a top-selling vehicle – like the entire model series. From 2009 to 2015, the Q5 established itself as the world’s most successful SUV in its class, winning over an above-average share of new customers for Audi. In its last full sales year, it still dominated in markets of all key sales regions – especially in China where it had a 65 percent share in its segment. Production sites in Changchun, China and Aurangabad, India supplemented production at the main plant in Ingolstadt.

The new Audi Q5, which is produced in Mexico, is launching into an SUV market that continues to grow worldwide with great dynamism.

Yesterday was a great day for the public as they enjoyed the festivities during Customer Appreciation Day hosted by Jati Transport, the authorised auto dealer for Mercedes-Benz and it was held for the first time at Mercedes-Benz Autohaus Showroom. Hundreds of customers came with their family to enjoy the food and the entertainment provided by Jati Transport Sdn Bhd.

Present during the Customer Appreciation Day were Andrew Chiam, Executive Director of Jati Transport Sdn Bhd, Alfred So, General Manager of Jati Transport Sdn Bhd and Kenny Ng, General Manager of Emerging Markets, Daimler South East Asia.

The customers enjoyed the activities provided such as face painting for their children, lego games, photo booth and not forgetting the discounts on their merchandise items.

This event is to appreciate the loyal customers of Jati Transport Sdn Bhd and continue the strong relations with the company and their customers.

Mercedes-Benz Autohaus Showroom was opened mid year to the delight of Mercedes-Benz customers. They have a much bigger showroom as well as service centre to service all the Mercedes-Benz cars in Brunei Darussalam. Hence, Jati Transport has two authorized workshop, one at the main headquarters and the other at the Autohaus Showroom. According to Stephen Reid, Service Manager at Jati Transport, their service centre does around 800 Mercerdes-Benz car per month. Now that’s a lot of servicing and they have around 22 certified technicians and electrician to help with the servicing of their customers’ cars.

Customers also had the opportunity to see the newly launched Mercedes-Benz GLC 200, a variant addition to the premium SUV segment in Brunei Darussalam. I had a first look and a bit of a test drive at it a few months ago back in Kota Kinabalu during a short trip hosted by Jati Transport.

I knew it will be a big hit in Brunei because of customers can enjoy the high-end features on a premium SUV at a competitive price. The GLC 250 was already a big hit when it was introduced in Brunei a few months ago.

The GLC 200 is additionally powered by a 2.0 litre four inline engine, producing an output of 135 kW (184 hp) and 300 Nm of torque. It also comes with a standard nine-stage 9G-tronic automatic transmission. The units are already being booked as we speak, leaving only a few units left.

Mercedes-Benz in Brunei Darussalam have been a popular choice despite the economic downturn. As customers now looking for more value added in a premium brand, Mercedes-Benz does deliver and that’s one of the main reason why Jati Transport have been doing moderately well in the car industry.

The Audi Q5 has won the 2017 “Golden Steering Wheel” in the “Large SUV” category and it’s an important award for Audi in a competition renowned throughout Europe
 

The Audi Q5 has won the 2017 “Golden Steering Wheel” in the “Large SUV” category. Prior to the selection, readers of the German automotive trade magazine Auto Bild, its 20 European sister publications and the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag had determined nominations from the new cars presented in 2017. An international panel of experts crowned the winner from these nominations. Peter Mertens, AUDI AG Board Member for Technical Development, accepted the prize for the Audi Q5 on Tuesdayevening in Berlin.

A total of 42 models competed in five categories in this year’s “Golden Steering Wheel” contest. After a Europe-wide reader survey, 20 cars made the final round and were judged by the experts: race drivers, engineers, designers, connectivity specialists, frequent drivers, critics and, not least, the editors-in-chief of all European sister publications of Auto Bild. They tested the finalists and determined which would win the coveted trophy. The Audi Q5 won through against seven other competitors in the “Large SUV” category. “The expertise and broad cross-section of opinions represented by the jury panel, as well as its renown throughout Europe, are what make the prize so coveted within our industry. The 2017 “Golden Steering Wheel” for the new Audi Q5 shows we have produced a worthy successor to the successful first generation of this SUV model line. We are proud of this prize,” said Peter Mertens at the award ceremony at the Axel-Springer-Haus in Berlin.

The new Audi Q5 was launched at the start of the year. The second generation of the best-selling Audi has established several new standards in the B segment of premium SUVs. The best drag coefficient in the competition, consistent lightweight design and modern engines ensure high efficiency, as does the new quattro drive system with ultra technology. In addition, the new Audi Q5 offers a broad portfolio of new driver assist systems, modern infotainment and connectivity equipment, and air suspension with damper control.
