Pet Lovers Centre (PLC) held their grand opening for their Times Square Branch on November 26th providing Bruneians with high quality pet products ranging from food, toys and equipment among other things.

To officiate the grand opening, Times Square shopping Centre Marketing Manager Lee Yee Liang along with PLC Owner Lim Hui Ling and Marketing Manager Siti Noor Arrifah will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony.

In conjunction with their grand opening, Pet Lovers Centre held a two days discount promotion of up to 60% from 26th November 2017 to 27th November 2017. Pet Lovers Centre is also holding a free VIP membership giveaway for any customer who brings their pet to the shop during the grand opening.

Meanwhile, existing Pet Lovers Centre VIP members will have the opportunity to receive a free goodie bag for purchases above $50 in a single receipt.

Pet Lovers Centre is a pet store chain whose headquarters are in Singapore. It was founded in 1973 and is currently the largest pet store chain within Singapore and Malaysia.

Lucky draw at Times Square

Times Square Shopping Centre completed its third prize presentation for its seventh lucky draw campaign yesterday on 13th August 2017 at Times Square Atrium. Lucky Draw coupon holders were reminded to be present at the Lucky Draw presentation, along with their Identity Cards (IC) as proof of identity and their Lucky Draw coupons. Representatives were allowed, but they must bring along their own ICs, as well as the photocopy IC of the winner along with the original coupon.

A total of 23 prizes were given away yesterday, comprising of electronic gadgets, furniture, cash vouchers, hotel vouchers and hampers. The first 10 prizes were presented by Miss Mally Hadini, the general secretary of Times Square followed by another 10 that were presented by Mr Lim Yee Liang, the Marketing Manager. The remaining 3 prizes were presented by the General Manager of Times Square, Mrs Amal Majidah.

The final three lucky winners were Dk Mahani Pg Hj Mahari who won a Canon Powershot S100, followed by second place Mohd Hamzi who won a Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 and the grand prize; an Acer Aspire ES 1-432 went to Lim Sai Chyou.

Times Square Shopping Centre will again continue with its seventh lucky draw campaign and the next final prize presentation will be held on 12th November 2017. Customers can still stand a chance to win prizes for the upcoming presentation by simply spending at any of the shops in Times Square, Times Hotel and the Cineplex, then submitting their receipts at the lucky draw counter which is situated at the ground floor.

Japanese Language and Culture Week

Times Square Shopping Centre ended its Japanese Language and Culture Week yesterday on Sunday, 19th February 2017. The event took place on 17th February, Friday until 19th February, Sunday at 10:00am till 10:00pm. The event was organized by Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, Times Square Shopping Centre and Japan Foundation. The supporters comprised of Japan Brunei Friendship Association (JBFA), The Japanese Association Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA), Hibikiya Pte Ltd, Ms.Reiko Siu Lai Hung, BJFA-UBD chapters, Language Centre of University Brunei Darussalam, Community Education & training Division (IBTE-CET), BERSATU/SSEAYP Alumni, JUNE, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), JENESYS Alumni, Miyazaki Prefecture, Niigata City, Brunei Kendo Alliance, Soul Industry and Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).

The last day of Japanese Language & Culture Week was filled with exciting activities including kite making workshop for kids that took place at 11am to 12pm yesterday. Other activities that took place in the afternoon were Taiko Japanese Drum performance by HIBIKIYA, Yoyo & Kendama performance by JENESYS Alumni, Japanese Cooking demonstration by Chef Usuki, Study in Japan sharing session by Brunei Association of Japan Alumni, as well as other singing and dancing performances by BJFA-UBD Chapter, SSEAYP Alumni, Soul Industry and Brunei Cosplayers.

Throughout the event, there was a lucky draw by Times Square and the prize presentation took place yesterday at 8pm. Ten prizes were given away last night and the presentation was done by the marketing manager of Times Square as well as the general manager, Mrs Amal Majidah Hj Suhaili. Prizes for the lucky draw comprised of hotel stay vouchers from Times Hotel, Ba’diah Hotel, Starlogde Hotel, Parkview Hotel and Jubilee Hotel as well as restaurant vouchers from Excapade Restaurant and Shinobu Sushi Restaurant. About 100 participants registered for the lucky draw during the three days event. The grand prize winner Taufiq Al Hakim bin Mohamad Jais brought home Canon Camera Ixus 175.

There was also a prize presentation for the Manga colouring competition last night. Present to give away the prizes was Lim Yee Liang, marketing manager of Times Square. The Manga colouring competition, which took place on the first day of the event was held by Best Eastern. First place went to Elysia Lim Pei Ying bringing home goodie bag whereas Tang Ann Yii and Chia Xuan Lei won second and third place respectively, bringing home goodie bag as prizes. Times Square Shopping Centre will be having its first prize presentation for its 7th Lucky Draw Campaign this Sunday on the 12th of February 2017, 2:00 pm, at Times Square Atrium. Lots of attractive prizes will be rewarded to the winners such as restaurant vouchers, hotel vouchers, phones, electrical appliances, gadgets and many more.

Lucky Draw coupon holders must be present at the Lucky Draw presentation, along with their Identity Cards (IC) as proof of identity and their Lucky Draw coupons. Representatives are allowed, but they must bring along their own ICs, as well as photocopy IC of the winner along with the original coupon. Lucky Draw coupon holders who do not win at each draw will not have their coupons carried forward as they will be permanently removed after each draw. Only receipts from the same day of submission are eligible for the draw.

Times Square is also glad to announce that there will be several events in the nearest future. Next week Times Square will host the Japanese Language and Culture Week on 17th to 19th February 2017 with the collaboration of Embassy of Japan in Brunei and Japan Foundation. From sour Kimchi and delicate sand art by “Mr Chai” to neck-breaking numbers by popular Korean group K-Tigers, the Korean Festival 2016 kicks off with a high note during its launching last Friday. Today (Sunday) will be the final day.

Held at the Times Square Shopping Centre, Berakas, the event was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was graced by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi Hj Mohd Yusof. Present were the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Cho Won Myun and Times Square General Manager Amal Majidah Hj Suhaili.

During his welcoming remarks, Cho shared such events will help to facilitate cultural exchanges between two countries. “This will further strengthen the friendship between our two countries,” he added. The festival was co-organised by South Korean Embassy, Times Square and Korea Foundation, and will end this Sunday.

On top of that, the public is welcomed to drop by at the ground floor atrium of the complex and participate in various activities such as the lucky draw that grants a total of four tickets to Seoul, Korea. Other activities include cooking and make-up demonstrations, Korean traditional games, K-pop dancing performance by members of Korean Cultural Club, Korean food eating contest and quizzes.
