KFC NEW CRISPIER FRIES. Verdict: Yummyyyy
KFC is also introducing its new fries with the tagline “Simply fries – tastic! It offers a better taste, is crispier and at the same price. “Ever since it was introduced last month, sales of fries went up more than 25% and customers have been upsizing to large fries even though we have yet to advertise it,” mentioned Jonathan Bong, Senior Marketing Manager, KFC (B) Sdn Bhd. “There was a need to inform our supplier in advance of this to ensure that we get a constant supply of fries from them.”

Siti Liyana, who is also an employee of the coffee franchise, did not expect the reward as she was just merely doing her civic duty.
“All I did was to give the wallet to my manager that I found during my cleaning duties,” she said.
The owner of the wallet, Thomas Chieng Chiew Hong, explained to The Brunei Times that he didn’t know that he had lost his wallet until the following day.
“I really appreciate her honesty and I believe that her parents as well as the company are very proud of her,” he added.
(Blood donation drive) On the sidelines, more than 40 members of the public were seen rolling up their sleeves to bleed for a good cause around the premises of The Coffee Bean as they joined in franchise’s Caring Cup blood donation drive, which started at 10am.
A representative from the blood donation bank said, “The amount of people donating is a source of encouragement and we are happy to know that members of the public are assisting in replenishing the blood supply of the national blood bank.”
First time donor Siti Iffah Hazirah Abdus Amat said that she wanted to donate blood because it will also contribute to saving the lives of accident victims and those who are about to undergo surgery.
Meanwhile, Wahidahtul Nadhirah Mirhassan, who is also a first time donor, said she realised that donors who donate regularly and voluntarily are the community’s life source.
“I have plans to donate blood in future and would like to encourage everyone who is capable to do so,” she added.
The Coffee Bean hopes that its efforts in holding such campaigns will encourage more local companies to roll up their sleeves and brave the needle to help ease the shortage of blood at the hospital. Text courtesy of Rebecca Oi of The Brunei Times and images courtesy of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
