Skechers in KB  

Check out the promotion during RamadhanIn less than a year, Skechers Brunei have delivered more than expected. Two weeks ago, they opened their 3rd branch in Kuala Belait after opening one at Kiulap and Seria. The third outlet has been a successful one as you will be surprised that Skechers is a strong brand nation wide. Opening one in KB shows the demand of Skechers in general that patrons are aware of its brand and lifestyle it portrays. Let’s not forget that Skechers are not only known for their imaginative designs but its functionality.

Brand Manager Terence Han also caught by surprise of the outlet’s overwhelming response in KB. For your info, the location of the KB outlet is in the middle town of KB town along Jalan Pretty. You definitely won’t miss it and furthermore, Skechers looks colourful and catchy from a distance.

The great thing about its location is that it is able to attract customers from the border (Miri).

So do expect footwear for men, women and children and who knows I might end up wearing a casual one. You will be amazed that there are estimate of 2,000 shoes and stocks just keep coming because of the good demand.

Skechers Brunei are currently having a new promotion during the month of Ramadhan, offering members a 20 per cent discount on regular items instead of the normal 15 per cent discount. Membership is free of cost and discounts apply immediately upon purchase.

The MLS Project

A launching ceremony for the Maharaja Lela South (MLS) project was held at the Muara Fabrication Yard in Kampung Serasa. Attended by the Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Mohammad Yasmin Haji Umar, also there were Mr Nguyen Truong Giang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam,  Dato Paduka Awang Hj Jamain Bin Haji Julaihi, Permanent Secretary (Downstream & Power), Energy Department at the Prime Minister’s Office,  Puan Hjh Rosmawatty binti Hj Abd Mumin, Permanent Secretary (Upstream) , Energy Department at the Prime Minister’s Office and Dato Matsatejo Sokiaw, CEO of PetroleumBRUNEI.

The MLS project, which is part of the exploration Block B, is located 50 kilometres northeast from Brunei coastline, and costs around US$1.4 billion ($1.74 billion).

In his speech, the Minister of Energy said “The MLS Project will amongst others, extend Block B’s production life to beyond 2025, while increasing current daily production from 30,000 barrel of oil equivalent to around 40,000 boe.”

According to Yves Grosjean, General Manager of Total E&P Borneo B.V, “Starting early 2016, the Project will produce the new gas and condensate resources discovered by exploration wells ML-5 and ML-6 drilled in 2010. These two wells were the deepest ever drilled in Brunei and the reservoirs to be produced are high pressure/high temperature. With the new wells from ML South it is anticipated that field production will be sustained at the new plateau level of 5Mm3/d beyond 2025, with the contribution of identified upsides. This new production level represents an increase of 35% compared to the production rate under the initial gas sales contract to BLNG that expired in 2013 and has now been renewed until 2033.”

The MLS Project is the largest joint venture in the block, spearheaded by Total E&P Borneo B.V. with  Petroleum Brunei and Shell Deepwater Borneo among the shareholders.
