LANEIGE BRUNEI celebrated its 12th years of milestone within the nation. The celebration was held yesterday with the diplomatic spouses from Korea, Thailand, Pakistan, Laos, Bangladesh, Omarn, IWC, LANEIGE’s VIP guests, loyal customers and its fans.
LANEIGE always aims to bring back to the community and work closely with the NGO (Non-government Organization). LANEIGE work closely with” SAVE THE CHILDREN” to promote Sharing “Waterful” experiences campaign. Via this “Waterful” campaign, LANEIGE invests the profits made by the sales of Water Bank Essence yearly to build the water tanks not only in Africa and also recent years further support to China and Malaysia. These projects intended to provide safe and clean drinking water for children who suffer from water shortage.
Throughout the past 12 years, LANEIGE Brunei Darussalam had expanded its vision from the founder to local region in order to support those who are in need within ASEAN. LANEIGE Brunei yearly corporate social responsibility campaigns, to create platform and great opportunities in discovering young peoples’ talents, energy, imagination, initiatives, leadership and recognized their crucial contributions to enhancing a variety of development in relation to music, communication, teamwork, culture exchange. For instance, the Broadway Musical Charity Competition co-organised with Ministry of Education, Health Campaign with Health Promotion Centre, Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign co-ogranised with Ministry of Health and recent years engaged with various NGOs in different countries supporting overseas community projects.

IA Salon celebrated its 13th year anniversary and hosted an exclusive health talk at the salon premise located at The Mall, Gadong. The themed health talk entitled: “Grow your mushroom, grow your healthy scalp” will be held last Friday.

Rano Iskandar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. AirAsia’s annual designer search, AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search, held its 2017 Grand Finale today at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready To Wear 2017 (KLFW RTW 2017).
The finale saw a total of twenty young talents from all 10 Asean countries showcase their Asean-themed creations on the runway.
Two top aspiring designers were selected to represent each country after a regionwide audition tour across Asean. The search kicked off in April in Manila before moving on to Bandar Seri Begawan, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Yangon, Jakarta, Bangkok, Vientiane and ended in Phnom Penh in June.
Tran Thi Tu from Vietnam was announced as the Grand Winner and walked away with prizes including a confirmed show segment to showcase their full collection at KLFW RTW 2018, a year-long mentorship from the KLFW RTW team, MYR25,000 sponsored by FashionValet to produce a capsule collection to be sold on fashionvalet.com, 150,000 AirAsia BIG Points, a six-page fashion spread in AirAsia’s Travel3Sixty inflight magazine, a special feature in Female Malaysia magazine and a pair of AirAsia return flights.

It has been three years since the company has been in fashion/lifestyle industry. ZA Barakah boutique started since 1st February 2014, managed by Hj Omar Abdul Aziz and Siti Rashidah Hassan. Due to their success, the entrepreneurs have also ventured into tailoring under ZA Tailor (hint, hint for those who wants to do their Baju Melayu or Baju Kurung for Raya).
Yesterday they launched a pop-up event leading into Hari Raya, having a concept of a modern Muslimah, showcasing some local and international brands. Do expect items such as Hijab, Jubbah and kids versions from Malaysia (Shazzmin, Dezahra and Julia Betty).
Perhaps the two major brands that are being showcased and sold are MochaFashion and LilyPetuna. Do check them out as they do look quite elegant and affordable.
Lily Petuna brand has a Pario concept, design that suits the modern era and ZA Barakah has made it easier for the locals to have access to their products. The same could be said for Mocha Fashion that has different range for ladies, kids and also men (top). Do expect great quality from both popular brands.
ZA Barakah is also the sole distributor for Capster (Hijab Sport) from the Netherlands. The brand has sold over 1,000 pieces alone in Brunei and that shows how popular Capster is.
Apart from that, ZA Barakah is also a distributor for Nashata Sports ranging from tops and pants for the ladies. The brand hails from Malaysia.

JBoxing happened with a huge bang yesterday at The Empire Hotel & Country Club. As you know that Jovian Ready-to-Wear (RTW) event is always popular in Malaysia and it’s already happening in Brunei Darussalam. The event continues today till Sunday, 7th May 2017.
This time round to expect different range of designs and JBoxing is also an event whereby all Jovian fans will gather all at once as to own their favourite Lebaran pieces.

Article by Lyna Mohamad of Borneo Bulletin. The fashion event JBoxing this year will be held in Brunei at The Empire Hotel & Country Club from May 5-7 (next weekend) and will see the launching of Jovian’s first bag collection.
Inspired from London’s Boxing Day, JBoxing is fashion line Jovian’s annual event. This year, Jovian Mandagie, CEO and Creative Director of Jovian, will host the event while launching its first bag collection, the Jovian Borsa, and its new Jovian Men and the Little Boy Collection.
“I have always wanted to have an event in Brunei and I figured that the time has come. Due to a lot of requests, we have decided to bring JBoxing to Brunei,” said Jovian in a press conference last weekend.
The inaugural event is jointly organised by Bruneian powerhouse atelier and multi-label store, Bajoo Butik, and main partner Baiduri Bank Group.

Jovian said Bruneians will get to see “an exciting project” between him and Jackie of Bajoo Butik, with the launch of the kid’s line designs for the Brunei and Malaysian markets.
“I think this is a high achievement and a great benchmark for Jackie for being able to collaborate with a brand from Malaysia,” he said. “JBoxing is an event where we would have exclusive, new launches of a collection, as well as special discounts on items,” said Jovian. “There are also items on a flat price basis, or that might turn into a free giveaway.”
From only 4,000 visitors in the first year it was launched, the number of people coming to the ‘box’ has increased every year, with a record 40,000 visitors last year.
“We are very much ready to shake the city with a new experience of shopping… We are expecting visitors coming from all over Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak,” said Jovian, who expects 15,000 visitors this year.
The CEO expressed his appreciation to Baiduri Bank Group, DST, BMW, Mix Mediaworks, Brunei Press and other partners for bringing the event into the international stage.

Out of the many entries, only two were chosen to represent Brunei in the @KLfashionweek happening this August. The two finalists are Humaira Zakaria and Siti Nazmah Hj Abd Samad. They will be showcasing their creations at the Grand Finale in Kuala Lumpur this August. Congratulations to both of you.
For your info, the AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search 2017 is a regional tour to ten Asean Countries. This is a platform to provide aspiring designer the opportunity of a lifetime to compete on a regional level and showcase their collection on a professional runway during the KL Fashion Week Ready to Wear.
